Hi, I’m Kirstie! I’ve been teaching high school Chemistry for 14 years including schools in the UK, Beijing and Singapore. I’m an IB Examiner and will be marking Paper 2 for the upcoming exams.
I live in New Zealand with my husband and two small children. I’m now a 100% online IBDP Chemistry tutor (and occasionally IGCSE if I’ve got space in my calendar!), using Googlemeet for meetings and Goodnotes for notes and collaboration tools.
I love teaching IBDP Chemistry and helping students achieve their goals through understanding the material vs just memorising everything! I give my students plenty of practice questions to master their skills and regularly adjust the tutoring session based on their progress. The more “homework” you do, the more tailored your sessions will be to work on gaps in your understanding.
